Chateau la Roussille: Our welcoming entrance hall with its grand, original double doors lead into the property from the long front terrace. The lovely dining room to the right of the hall is where breakfasts are served every morning, sometimes this can be taken outside too.
Opposite are double doors to the elegant Morning Room, this is a space offered to all our guests to relax, take afternoon tea on arrival, read or listen to music. Two further sets of double doors lead you out onto the terraces, gardens and parking.
The beautiful original walnut staircase takes you up to the first floor and the large bedroom suites, or up the first 2 steps to the hidden door to Madeleine, the studio suite.
La Roussille sits centrally in its own 50 acres of private land. This mainly comprises of paddocks, woodland and meadows of wild flowers and orchids early summer, perfect if you like to walk and explore.
The pretty formal gardens to the front of the property lead through a small maze to a private lawn and garden.
The terraces all have tables and seating for you to enjoy and Breakfasts are sometimes served out here.
A 14 by 7 metre swimming pool with surrounding terrace provides a tranquil area for lounging and recuperation after a swim.
Residents staying in the private apartment wing have their own driveway and parking.
There’s ample parking by the courtyard for those staying any of the suites in the main part of the house. Take the first driveway on the left, between the 2 pillars as you approach Chateau la Roussille ahead of you.

Sinnington Common Farm: is a working family farm with 135 acres. The small cottages have been sympathetically converted from farm buildings but most of the original buildings have been retained and are still used for farming purposes. Some of the buildings are over 200 years old and swallows return to them each year flying in and out of the buildings all summer long. The farm is set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors in Ryedale.
Our many farmyard animals include goats, poultry, Dasher the Dexter bull(who thinks he's a horse!) and his girl friends, coloured cobs, Haflinger and Appaloosa horses, Coco the donkey, and Jimmie the pot-bellied pig, friendly farm cats and dogs, ewes and lambs (pet lambs to feed at certain times of the year). Many are rescue animals and guests are welcome to interact with them.

Manor Farm: Is a working farm bed and brekafast in the village of Gillamoor, situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Using Gillamoor as your base you can explore the windswept countryside along well maintained but sometimes narrow country lanes.

Banavie: We offer three spacious bedrooms.
Two double bedrooms with en-suite facilities (one with bath and shower) and one triple room comprising of a double bed and a single bed also with en-suite facilities.

These include great walks on the North Yorkshire Moors, days out to the coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington, and cycling in Dalby Forest (which is on our doorstep).

Rokeby: a 17th century former dales farmhouse situated on the Dalesway in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is now a Bed and Breakfast that has been recently renovated to high standards in the Heart of Grassington.
Have your breakfast in front of the original Inglenook fireplace with a beehive oven. There will be log fires during the winter months and on cold days. All bedrooms are ensuite.
Grassington is the largest village in Wharfedale and has a cobbled square with picturesque historic streets and buildings. Nearby is the river wharfe where you can walk through ancient woodlands, past limestone crags to the high moorland fells and limestone pavements.
Grassington also boasts a fine selection of country pubs, tearooms and restaurants as well as a variety of shops. There is an annual Music and Arts festival at the end of June when many popular entertainers come to the town. At the end of the year Grassington goes Dickensian with The Dickensian Festival- with musicians, costume and street entertainers.
Grassington has a Lead mining and farming history and nearby Kilnsey hosts a large agricultural show at the end of August.
So whether you enjoy Walking, Fishing, Horse riding or site seeing Grassington offers visitors all this and more.
Although we do not allow dogs in our rooms at Rokeby Guest House just a few minutes walk away is an excellent dog boarding house. ( No Kennels)
