The Languedoc-Roussillon is the most southern part of France, bordering northern Spain. To the right, we have the glorious Mediterranean with 250Km of golden beaches making us part of the summer playground of Europe. To the south and west, we have the snowy peaks of the Pyrenees where you can find the ski slopes in just a couple of hours. We have the famous World Heritage Sites of the Canal-du-Midi, of course, the iconic turrets of Carcassonne. As is that wasn't perfection for you.. the 300 days of sunshine every year make this the most sought after place to live in France.
No matter what you want - whether it's a holiday home, or a place to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life or just a place to retire - we have just the place for you. We have the countryside that inspires a thousand artists from the rocky coast of the French border with Spain, the wilds of the Corbieres, the rolling sunflower fields of the Razes or the tranquility of the vineyards.

The Languedoc-Roussillon - where the mountains meet the sea.
Winter ski - summer sea - whatever you want from your property in France, the Langue doc has everything to offer - and Leggett has your property needs covered.
Our region has - 3 mountain ranges, 9 ski resorts and 240Km of sunny Mediterranean beaches. No other region in Europe can offer this.
Our ski offerings currently centre on the French mountain resort of Font Romeau, home of the French National Winter Sports teams' training centre. An exclusive development of apartments in the heart of the resort, available on very favourable lease-back terms, generating great returns on investment. We are actively building on this portfolio this year.
Our sea offerings are houses small and large , all within 20-30 minutes from the beach. Our region is recognised as the one with the most sunshine - 300 days a year of average. We have 100's of properties on this site and many of them will fall into this category.
.
Languedoc-Roussillon is, indeed, and exceptional region in every way, and visitors would be correct in thinking that they have arrived in one of the most fascinating areas of France. Stretching from Spain and the majestic Pyrenees mountains in the south to the Rhone River and the Mediterranean Sea to the east you will not run out of things to do or places to visit.
From the Camargue to Sète, Pezenas to Perpignan, from the Grande-Motte to Collieure the Languedoc Roussillon will attract you with its miles of sandy beaches. It will excite you with its snowcapped mountains and it will enchant you with its medieval Cit? de Carcassonne, and its Roman amphitheatre in Arles. Come and discover dinosaur bones and prehistoric caves, grottos, thermal springs and spas, rivers and lakes and several World Heritage sites including the Canal du Midi and the Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard.
The area has around 700,000 acres (2,800 km2) under vines and is the single biggest wine-producing region in the world, being responsible for more than a third of France's total wine production. The landscape is a magical patchwork of vines and sunflowers providing some of the most beautiful scenery. Many artists were inspired by it and Salvador Dali called it 'the center of the world' because Picasso, Miro, Matisse, Derain and Chagall worked in the area creating new styles of painting. Its regional cuisine is surprisingly varied based on locally available produce. Castelnaudary has its Cassoulet its bourride, Bouzigues has its oysters and the Camargue with its famous rice fields

With over 300 days of sunshine, 241 kilometers of coastline, with three major mountain ranges and nine ski resorts it is no wonder that the Languedoc-Roussillon is the up-and- coming jewel in the south of France. The Times had this to say:
The Cinderella of the south was once overshadowed by gorgeous Provence and the brash Cote d'Azur. Now she stands as their equal displaying a discreet charm that her more-visited siblings lost a long time ago. (The Times, October 12, 2008).
Languedoc-Roussillon is less than a two-hour flight from London. Besides the international airport of Nimes, Montpellier offers many connecting flights to international destinations. Carcassonne, Beziers, and Perpignan airports offer low-cost Ryan Air flights year round. Paris is about five hours by TGV and if you prefer to travel by car the motorways are very good serving the region and linking the Languedoc-Roussillon to Spain.
